Chiropractic

October 6th, 2009

Let’s take a little time to define what it is that we do at my clinic here in Uptown, Minneapolis. Over the next few posts, I’ll discuss some of the services that are offered at UptownOm.

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.

Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.

Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuro-musculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

Treatments can also reduce stress levels, improve sleep and create an overall sense of well-being. In children, conditions ranging from bed wetting to chronic ear infections have been successfully addressed through Chiropractic.

Community Events and News

June 30th, 2009

I have been treating patients in my Uptown office for 2 years now. Over that time, I have had the priveledge of meeting and treating people from all types of backgrounds. All of my patients are interesting in their own unique ways and have interests and knowledge that add to the energy of my practice and my enjoyment of practicing.

I would like to extend an invitation to all of my patients, current and future, to share with this online community. Events, classes, anything that you are passionate about and feel could benefit others will be posted. If you have an idea, just let me know. You all have so many gifts and so much knowledge to share, and I’ve learned so much from you all. Thank you.
