Acupuncture

Friday, October 9th, 2009

The ancient Chinese believed that there is a universal life energy called Chi or Qi present in every living creature. This energy is said to circulate throughout the body along specific pathways that are called meridians.

As long as this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained. But once the flow of energy is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness occur. Acupuncture works to restore normal functions by stimulating certain points on the meridians in order to free up the Chi energy.

There are many conditions that can be treated successfully by Acupuncture and its related treatments. These include, but are not limited to, back pain, neck pain, headaches (including migraines), sciatica, pain/numbness in arms and legs, arthritis, fibromyalgia, addictions (including smoking), allergies, stress, depression, insomnia, breech presentation, infertility and morning sickness.

Community Events and News

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

I have been treating patients in my Uptown office for 2 years now. Over that time, I have had the priveledge of meeting and treating people from all types of backgrounds. All of my patients are interesting in their own unique ways and have interests and knowledge that add to the energy of my practice and my enjoyment of practicing.

I would like to extend an invitation to all of my patients, current and future, to share with this online community. Events, classes, anything that you are passionate about and feel could benefit others will be posted. If you have an idea, just let me know. You all have so many gifts and so much knowledge to share, and I’ve learned so much from you all. Thank you.

Spring For A Day?

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

What an absolutely beautiful weather day here in Minneapolis! Personally, running in a long sleeve shirt without a stocking cap was just what I needed.  I hope you all were able to get out, get some sun and enjoy spring, if only for a day.
